Loving father of Sue Marie Flavin, Maureen Flavin, Florence (late David) Schanley-Flavin, Mary Flavin, Eileen (Robert) Flavin-Rush, Michael Flavin and Daniel (Erin) Flavin. Dear grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchild. Son of the late Carl and Olive Flavin and Katherine Meyer Flavin. Brother of the late Carl Flavin Jr. The family will receive friends at the C. Mertz and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 911 Englewood Ave. on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12:30 PM and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church (1085 Englewood Ave.) at 1:00 PM . Please assemble at Church. Private Burial to be held. Jim was a veteran of the US Army and served in the Korean War. He was also a printer for the Buffalo News for 42 years.
