Most loved father of Susan (Donald) Selby, Lynn (Michael) Novak, Carol (John) Hake and Jeanne Darnell. Dear "Papa Ray" of 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Brother of Charles (Alice) Schwendler, Margaret (William) Kearney, Helen Schwendler and the late Rita (Earl) Miller, Ruth (Raymond) Bennett, Joseph (Agnes) Schwendler, Joanne Ball and Mary Lou Weppner. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the C. Mertz and Son Funeral Home, Inc. 911 Englewood Ave. on Monday from 4 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Amelia Church (2999 Eggert Rd., Tonawanda, 14150) on Tuesday at 9 AM. Please assemble at Church.
