Carestio, Michael R. (American Flag) - April 1, 2020 - Age 98 - Beloved husband of the late Emily J. (nee Jamieson) Carestio. Loving father of Robert M. (Christine), William G. and Barry J. (Betty Reinhart) Carestio. Cherished grandfather of Julie, Jeff (Melissa), Cyndi (Patrick), Cathy (Scott), Jamie (Katherine) and Jeremy (Carmen). Great grandfather of Zoe, Olivia, Sophia, Bella, Blake, Logan and Maizey. Dear brother of the late Ralph Carestio, Katherine Thompson and Daniel Carestio. Also survived by nieces, nephews and friends. Due to the lessening of the COVID restrcitons in our community, the family has found it is time to celebrate Mike's life. All are invited to attend a Memorial Service at the Chapel at Forest Lawn Cemetery (Please meet at the Delaware and Delavan Gates) on Saturday, August 14th at 10:00 AM. Mike proudly served our country as a member of the US Army/Air Force. He served as a Bombardier during World War II on a B-24 Liberator witth the 8th Air Force out of England. Mike was a longtime parishoner of Blessed Sacrament Church. If memorials desired, they may be made in Mike's memory to Hospice Foundation of WNY, Inc. Arrangements by C.
