Obituary for Lucian C. Parlato

Parlato, Lucian C. (American Flag) - March 31, 2020 - Age 94 - Beloved husband of 35 years to Josephine (nee Bongiovanni) Parlato. Devoted father of Claudia (Bert) Ferraro. Step father of Michael (Linda Miller) Abramo. Loving son of the late Dr. Salvatore and Bessie (nee Gugino) Parlato. Dear brother of Rosalie (Thomas) Krajci and the late Honorable Carmelo Parlato, Salvatore Parlato Jr., George S. Parlato M.D. and Frances (Robert) Hoerner. Brother in law of Dolores Parlato. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Lucian was Valedictorian of the Canisius High School graduating class of 1943. That very summer he enlisted in the United States Army. In December of 1944 he fought in Belgium in the Battle of the Bulge. In 1946 after honorable discharge, he entered Harvard University, graduating cum laude in 1950. J D Attorney from University of Buffalo. Practiced law until retirement in 2018. A member of the Erie County Republican Committee. Lucian will be fondly remembered by his family and friends for his sense of humor, his love of family gatherings where he led the way in competitive games and group singing. He had a passion for music especially opera and was a devout Catholic. Due to the COVID 19 precautions a private family service was held at the convenience of the family.
