It was an honour after many, many years to be reintroduced to my God father. During the time that Larry served in the military, while in Europe, he was named as my God father, in Guelph , Ontario. I am not sure Larry was even aware of this. It was only after 70 years when I had the pleasure of meeting Irene and sharing the life experiences that we both had over the years. Time, distance and events of our family development always prevented us from forming a closer bond. We look forward to celebrating Larry’s extraordinary life and meet his children, grand and great grand children and other Titzler cousins.
Our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to Larry’s family.

Please accept my condolences on the death of your father/grandfather/great-grandfather, Larry. He was my last surviving first cousin and we enjoyed sharing our love of family and our family history. My late husband, Hank Willis, and I enjoyed our visits with both Larry and Irene in recent years. Larry’s love of family was always so apparent. And he was a great story teller, sharing so much of his experience and the events that shaped his life. I will be pleased and honoured to attend his funeral service once our lives return to some semblance of normalcy. Barbara Samson-Willis, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada

Larry is now with the love of his life, Irene.
His was a life well ived that spanned the most consequential events in the history of this country from beginning to end.
I was amazed at the details he was able to recall from his early life and World War II.
He was a great friend to my family and I will always appreciate his thoughtfulness to us.

Dear Titzler Family: I was sorry to read that your beloved father and grandfather has passed away. He was my last principal at THS and a friend to myself and many other students. He always had a smile and a listening ear when we needed it. It was wonderful to have him as a friend on Facebook to see what he had. even jp to since retirement. I will cherish speaking with him at our 40th Class Reunion in July, 2017. He truly was a mentor and friend to many students and alumni on THS, he will be missed. Kathy Baker Hoppel, THS Class of 1977
