Dear Family and Friends:
My dear wife Judy peacefully passed. As many of you know, Judy suffered a debilitating stroke early on Sunday morning, May 9, and had been in hospice care at Niagara Hospice in Lockport since the following Tuesday. Their care for her and support for me was superb in every way. She was comfortable and pain free until the end.
We had a wonderful life together and I will miss her dearly. She was the love of my life. We had talked about this eventuality many times. She always said she wanted to be remembered by how she loved all of us and did not want any ceremony. To grant her wishes, she was cremated and private prayers were offered. Her desire was simple: Remember me as you knew me and keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
I will be keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers as I transition into my new life. I deeply appreciate everyone’s calls of concern and sentiment.
Remember: “Death is not extinguishing the light; it is only putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.” R. Tagore
May Judy rest in peace, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her, through the mercy of God. Amen.
