Jagiello, Joseph - June 8, 2022 - Age 79 - After a long illness. Joe was the beloved husband and best friend of Dianne (nee Mays) Jagiello for 54 years. He was the devoted father of Joseph (Angela) Jagiello, Lisa (late Roy) Cywinski, Christopher (Jenny) Jagiello, Lauren (Jason) Stang, Jonathan (late Sarah) Jagiello and the late Renee Luzi. Father in law of Al Luzi. Joe was the proud grandfather of eleven grandchildren; William and Henry Jagiello; Gabrielle Cywinski; Emily, Maria and Christian Jagiello; Anna, Sophia and Jackson Stang; and Ryan and Aiden Luzi. Born in Perry, N.Y. Joe moved to Buffalo to attend Canisius College where he earned a BS in Business and MS in Education. He spent more than 40 years in the field of education beginning at Cardinal O'Hara HS where he was a teacher, coach, guidance counselor and assistant principal. He then became Director of the evening division at Bryant and Stratton and concluded his career at South Park HS, where he established a relationship between local businesses and education. Despite being legally blind, Joe continued to work until retirement. He will sadly be missed by family and friends. The family will receive friends at the C. Mertz and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 911 Englewood Ave. on Sunday, June 12th from 1 to 4 PM. All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church (1085 Englewood Ave.) on Monday, June 13th at 10:45 AM. Please assemble at Church. Flowers graciously declined.
