Dear Mary, Diane, Janine, Michael, Mark, Gregory, spouses, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, and everyone,

Our deepest sympathy to all of you on the passing of your mom, grandmom, aunt, and mother-in-law. In the words of St. Paul to Timothy today, Joan "....fought the good fight, kept the Faith, and finished the race"..... and now she is at home in Heaven with the Lord who, "....welcomed her as His good and faithful servant!" It is truly heartbreaking to lose your mother and loved one at any age, but may it be a comfort to you to remember that she is now at peace, free of all earthly struggles. It was because of all of your love, devotion, commitment, and personal sacrifice for so many years, that your mom was able to stay in her own home, receive great care from her whole family (and daughters who are superb nurses!), have daily love/companionship, and remain an important part of her family. WOW! What an awesome accomplishment and true gift of selfless love on everyone's part!! Compliments also to all of her professional caregivers for their great care too! What a wonderful team!! In the days ahead, please remember that EACH of you gave her EVERYTHING that you had to give, and that ALL of you also, "...fought the good fight, kept the Faith, and finished the race..... but you did it TOGETHER!" Despite the many challenges, sacrifices, and difficulties you faced, your family LIVED the Gospel in a truly inspiring way, worked in the same direction, and all pulled TOGETHER regardless of the toll personally! Another great gift!! May warm memories comfort and sustain you at this sad time, and may you know the peace that comes from knowing that you gave it your all and very best! Mary, my favorite memory is of your mother, your aunt, all of the kids, Corinne, and my mother in our back yard watching us swim many years ago (and us trying to "swim"). That was a really great day! Your mom is still with you in spirit. She is watching over each of you, as she is reunited with your dad, your aunt, and other loved ones, and she is happy..... despite her now missing all of you. Just remember, that someday you will all be together again! May God's grace help you through each day. May the love and support of friends help you through this difficult time. Please know that you are in our daily thoughts and prayers. If you need anything, please let us know. We are always there for you. God bless and keep all of you safe, healthy, and well!
Love and Friends Always,
Marysue, Dirk, and Lindsey Visser
