We were blessed to know Elsa for many years. Nearly everyday you could see her walk somewhere; always fast and with purpose. If you stopped her, she would invite you in for her delicious pizzelles, tea (even if were hot outside), and stories of her youth in Italy living across the way from the nuns. When she came to the house for dinner (which she often brought!) she would always bring a bag zip tied up with more pizzelles. The other neighbors rave about her fried zucchini at the block parties but it was her gnocchi that I loved the most. More than that I appreciated her teaching me how to make them!
She undoubtedly taught many her baking and cooking skills as well as her sewing skills. She will live on in many!

Thank you Theresa for your beautiful memories of our Mom. I did phone you a couple of times last week to let you know of her passing but there was no answer and I did not want to leave that message. She loved you and your family and you made her feel like she was part of yours.
