Hammett, Betty (nee Phillips) - Born July 14, 1935 - Of Lake View, NY (formerly Kenmore, NY) passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 20, 2022. Beloved wife of 67 years to Ronald W. Hammett Sr. Loving mother of Karen (Rebecca) Caufield of Lake View, NY, Linda (Jim) Andrews of Kingston, TN and Stephen (Totie) Hammett of the Town of Tonawanda, NY. Mother in law of James DiPlalma Sr. Cherished Grandmother of James Jr. (Michelle) DiPalma, Jason (Sarah) DiPalma, Jessica (Matthew) Kinmartin, Carolyn (Alex) Cummings, Jacqueline (Jason) Stephens, Ian Jones and Zakkary Sacks. Grat grandmother of nine. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Betty is preceded in death by her infant son Ronald Hammett Jr, her parents and was the last surviving member of her 5 siblings. Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family. The family will host a Celebration of Life on Tuesday April 26th at 11:00 AM at Ilio DiPalo’s Restaurant, 3785 South Park Ave., Blasdell, NY.
