Aunt Bernice was my father's oldest sister. She never married but I like to think that she considered us, her neices especially, as her children. She was always there when i had an important event in my life. She didn't travel much but she always wanted to come down to Maryland when I moved away. If my mom and dad or just my mom was coming to see me, she asked if she could come too. She came to see all my important milestones in Buffalo then came to Maryland to celebrate my children's milestones too. She was always interested in what my husband Frank and my kids Andrew and Vicki were doing as well as what I was up to. She didn't like to travel by herself but if someone else was visiting then she was ready too. She was always there to congratulate us and acknowledge us almost like a mother reaches out to her children. I miss you Aunt Bernice and I hope you are up there giving prayers and mass cards to Kathy and me and both of our families as we need the love of an angel...hopefully, you have found my mom and dad and the 3 of you as angels are looking over all of us. Lord knows I need all the prayers I can get right now....Beth

Bernice was my aunt and godmother. I spoke to her almost daily for most of my life. She was always very interested in hearing about my job, my sports, my friends, basically anything and everything that I shared with her. Aunt Bernice was there when I graduated from high school, college, and law school. She cried when I was diagnosed with cancer and when she found out I was in remission. I will miss my aunt very much as she was a big part of my life. She always rooted for me and supported me in all my endeavors. God only sends a few such people to each and every one of us. RIP Aunt Bernice. I will surely miss you.
